The Impact you will have in this role: The Workplace Design and Services Regional Operations Director will serve as the day-to-day operational lead for DTCC's real estate portfolio of properties located in the Dallas Metro Area. The individual will be the primary engineering SME managing multiple properties. The role entails coordinating maintenance, incident elevation, OPEX management, capital projects and long-range forecasts, seeing opportunities for improvement, and more.
Your Primary Responsibilities: - Responsible for the management, operation, maintenance, and readiness of all critical physical infrastructure (UPS, HVAC, Emergency Generators, high and low voltage electrical systems, monitoring and control systems, and fire detection/suppression systems).
- Oversees the tracking and control of projects in progress, setting up equipment testing schedules, preventative maintenance schedules and corrective repairs.
- Accountable for the development and management of operational and capital budgets.
- With the support of senior management, accountable for the development, maintenance, and implementation of the capital upgrade plan for all building and critical systems.
- Identifies and recommends strategies and standard methodologies to reduce operational costs and improve service levels
- Responds to and supervises emergency situations during and after standard hours for the purpose of resolving immediate operational concerns, developing root cause analysis, and system repairs and restoration
- Ensures compliance with fire prevention, general safety, health hazards protection and emergency preparedness.
- Assesses incidents, complaints, (customer complaints, suggestions, or concerns) to resolve or recommend appropriate resolutions.
- Develops and implements operations and maintenance policies and procedures required to meet departmental and company goals.
- Responsible to ensure that all activities adhere to DTCC standards and follow financial and change control policies.
- Ensures full alignment to all in scope Compliance Obligations
- Collaborates with internal and external personnel to maintain DTCC’s International Organization for Standardization (ISO) multi-site certifications for Energy and Environmental Management.
- Partners with Data Center Operations, Security, and regional senior leadership to improve and optimize the current operating model.
- Performs personnel functions (e.g., interviewing, evaluating, supervising, mentoring, training, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining adequate staffing and achieving departmental objectives.
- Primary relationship owner of out-sourced contingent labor workforce and critical third-party suppliers.
- Mitigates risk by following established procedures, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Talents Needed for Success:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, technical work experience. operating critical facilities and regional portfolios in the US.
- Well-versed in Data Center Electrical / Mechanical infrastructure systems (Generators, UPS, Transformers, Distribution, Chillers, HVAC systems, Fire Protection Systems, etc.)
- Ability to understand MEP drawings with proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with core Facility Management principles, including Janitorial, Food Services, and Mail & Receiving.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong financial savvy.
The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
