Your Future Team
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance and Real Estate team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing and managing various financial and accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and effective financial controls. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial analysis, and team leadership.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations with superior attention to detail and critical evaluation of outcomes
- Proactively review general ledger transaction details throughout the month to streamline month-end close timelines, and ensure the accuracy and completeness of information recorded
- Independently resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
- Identify trends, opportunities, and risks, and recommend actions to enhance financial performance
- Analyze actual results across multiple reporting segments and provide explanations for variance to plan and prior year
- Coordinate and support annual financial audits, ensuring all audit requirements and inquiries are met in a timely and accurate manner
- Streamline financial processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy, implementing best practices to optimize financial operations
- Propose improvements to internal controls to mitigate risks and maintain compliance
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data and information flow across the organization
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA Certification Preferred
- Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, required
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards (GAAP, IFRS).
- Proficient in accounting software (ERP systems)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
