Your Future Team
Hightower is expanding its support for rebalancer and portfolio management solutions and has an opening for an experienced Executive Director of Portfolio Management Solutions. The Executive Director will guide the positioning and training on trading and rebalancing solutions for Advisor Practices. Work with the Capital Markets Desk, Product Management, Growth team and Advisor Practices to understand individual practice models and identify opportunities to incorporate trading and rebalancing solutions. You will be asked to support Advisor Practices with the utmost integrity to help ensure that Hightower has comprehensive, risk controlled trading and rebalancing solutions. You will be reporting to the Managing Director, Head of Product Management.
What You’ll Do
- Accountable for the product roadmap and end-to-end support of Hightower’s enterprise solutions for trading and rebalancing, delivering an operating model to maximize efficiency, minimize risk and ensure scalability.
- Develop and coordinate campaigns to create awareness, create interest and Advisor Practice engagement with preferred trading and rebalancing tools with the greater Business Services & Operations team (e.g., Capital Markets Desk).
- Coordinate with Hightower colleagues (e.g., Product Management, Compliance, Technology, Finance) to engage and manage external service providers.
- Provide training (together with vendors) and assistance to Advisor Practices using the trading and rebalancing products available through Hightower.
- Work with internal and external partners to ensure the accuracy of data used within the portfolio management and rebalancing tools.
- Work with current and prospective Advisor Practices, Custodians and Vendors to support trading tools; identify opportunities for improvements in the trading process.
- Understand user needs by spending time with our Advisor Practices, analyzing use cases and applying vendor partner’s expertise.
- Support all aspects of trading tools, including escalation support, execution review, and ensuring reconciliation on trades generated by rebalancer tools in custodian block accounts.
- Maintain broad knowledge of trading and rebalancing tools and assist Advisor Practices in navigating this landscape as part of the product and vendor management support process (know where to go to find solutions).
- Develop long-term relationships with Advisor Practices and consult on resources and structure needed for Advisor Practices to maximize portfolio management efficiency and minimize risk.
- Negotiate new selling agreements/amendments to service current /future needs.
What You’ll Bring
- 12+ years in a similar role with clean regulatory record
- Indisputable knowledge of trading and rebalancing tools, including SS&C Black Diamond and Envestnet Tamarac Rebalancers is required. Knowledge of additional systems (e.g., Moment, EZE, Moxy, TAMPS, other rebalancers) strongly preferred
- Series 7, 66 (63/65) licenses required, Series 24 optional
- Experience in the registered investment advisor (RIA) and/or broker dealer environment
- Knowledge of custodian platforms used by RIAs (e.g., Fidelity, Schwab, Pershing)
- Desire to help grow an evolving platform
- Ability to work in a strong team environment
- Successfully manage self to manage multiple issues and demands
- Attention to detail and quality of service in all aspects of relationship management
- Ability to quickly respond to internal and external customer needs
- Professional verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to influence others
- Can provide professional references
- Some travel required to meet with Advisor practices, vendors and/or to NY / Chicago / other locations for team meetings or events
