Position Overview:
Legacy Hedge is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Trader to join our investment team. In this critical role, you will execute trades across various asset classes, manage relationships with brokers, and ensure that trading activities align with the fund’s strategic goals. The ideal candidate will possess deep market knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to cost management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Trade Execution: Execute buy and sell orders across equities, fixed income, and other asset classes with speed, accuracy, and adherence to strategy.
- Broker Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and trading platforms to ensure access to competitive pricing and insights.
- Cost Management: Monitor and minimize transaction costs, ensuring efficient execution across all trades.
- Market Monitoring: Stay informed about market conditions, trends, and liquidity to anticipate potential risks and opportunities.
- Compliance: Ensure all trading activities comply with regulatory requirements and fund policies.
- Reporting: Provide detailed reports on trading activities, costs, and performance to the Portfolio Manager and investment team.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in a trading role within a hedge fund, investment bank, or asset management firm.
- Strong knowledge of financial markets and trading mechanics across multiple asset classes.
- Proficiency in trading platforms (e.g., Bloomberg Terminal, E*TRADE, or similar) and familiarity with algorithmic trading systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to execute under pressure.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field (CFA or progress toward CFA preferred).
