Position Overview:
Legacy Hedge is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee all financial operations of the fund. The CFO will manage budgeting, tax strategies, and financial reporting, acting as a vital liaison with auditors, accountants, and other financial stakeholders. This role is critical to ensuring Legacy Hedge’s financial health and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Oversee fund finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Tax Strategies: Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies to optimize fund performance and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to internal stakeholders and investors, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Auditor Liaison: Act as the primary contact for auditors, ensuring seamless and efficient audit processes.
- Accounting Oversight: Collaborate with fund accountants to manage daily accounting tasks, including NAV calculations and expense reporting.
- Compliance Support: Ensure financial practices align with SEC regulations and fund policies.
- Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with external service providers, including tax advisors, fund administrators, and legal counsel.
- Strategic Planning: Provide financial insights and analysis to support the fund’s growth strategy and operational decisions.
Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of experience in financial management, preferably within a hedge fund, private equity, or asset management firm.
- Strong understanding of hedge fund operations, financial reporting, and tax planning.
- Expertise in working with auditors, accountants, and regulatory bodies.
- Proficiency in financial software, including QuickBooks, Excel, and fund-specific accounting platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred).
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to present complex financial data clearly.
