The Structured Products & Fund Finance Team is a component of Blue Owl Credit and is responsible for structuring, execution, and placement of a variety of debt solutions which support our Direct Lending and Alternative Credit businesses. The Structured Products & Fund Finance Team has executed ~50 fund-level securitization vehicles (including bi-lateral bank facilities and CLOs) and over 50 leverage facilities supporting Alternative Credit transactions (including revolving warehouses, private term facilities and 144a securitizations), representing greater than $30 billion of commitments.
The team is the primary point of contact with major investment banks, insurers and other lenders / investors, while staying closely aligned internally with our portfolio managers, risk management team, and middle / back office functions to ensure efficient debt solutions for the Firm’s Direct Lending and Alternative Credit strategies.
Position Responsibilities
This role will help oversee the financing activities for the Alternative Credit Business within the Structured Products & Fund Finance team:
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Play a meaningful role in developing and executing capital markets strategy for the alternative credit business, with a focus on specialty finance and equipment leasing
- Source, execute and manage investment and fund-level financing for the alternative credit funds:
- Work with deal teams to determine appropriate leverage assumptions and modeling to inform underwriting of transactions throughout the investment process
- Solicit and negotiate terms (including the negotiation of legal documentation) with lenders
- Execute deal closings / amendments, including coordination with the deal teams as well as asset management, accounting, operations and legal/compliance internally and third parties externally
- Monitor and oversee the ongoing administration of leverage facilities by working with asset management and the deal teams
- Liaise directly with rating agencies as applicable to ensure timely and efficient execution of rated transactions (public and private)
- Build and maintain relationships with banks and other financial institutions
- Support the development of enhanced capital markets infrastructure, including improved compliance tracking across facilities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5-8 years of experience in structured finance (including at an investment bank, lender or private credit firm)
- Experience in asset-backed finance, including in consumer, commercial and/or residential asset classes
- Substantial experience structuring, negotiating and executing warehouses, as well as issuing public ABS
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Strong data analysis skills and attention to detail
- Team player with enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic, proactive and a self-starter
- Enjoys working on a cross-functional team and is comfortable working with colleagues across various levels and work styles
It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York based position will be $150,000 to $200,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
