The Intermediate Analyst, Infrastructure Investor Operations, will be responsible for work across a portfolio of funds and assets and will be a key contributor to the following business functions: Investment Accounting and Operations.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Investment Accounting and Operations
- Process investment distributions for a portfolio of investments. This includes preparation of the journal entry package, which includes legal direction letters, investor allocations and recording associated journal entries;
- Participate in and manage the investment funding process. This includes coordination with the Cash and Liquidity team to ensure sufficient funds, preparation of funding documents and completion of the associated journal entry package;
- Record and reflect quarterly investment valuation updates and associated incentive fee accruals and payments;
- Prepare and issue investor capital calls and distributions and coordinate with internal parties for timely issuance. This includes the preparation of cash forecasts, investor allocation calculations, recording of associated journal entries and generating notices;
- Assist in the preparation of legal entity financial statements, including detailed recordkeeping to reflect flow of funds through SPV structures for investment fundings, distributions, expense payments and shareholder loan activity;
- Prepare analysis and support the Infrastructure Team on AGM materials, investor updates, investor queries and due diligence requests; and
- Recommend and implement ways to streamline processes.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant experience in asset management and private markets investments, with direct experience in investment accounting/reporting experience for investment funds/fund entities;
- A CPA designation is preferred or is working towards a professional accounting designation;
- A self-starter who is analytical and forward thinking with the ability to drill down into data and resolve issues independently;
- Excellent time management and organizational skills;
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment on multiple tasks with exceptional attention to detail;
- Ability to take initiative – research and/or investigate issues requiring resolution and develop recommendations in order to execute on assigned tasks;
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (verbal and written) with the ability to liaise with all levels of individuals both internally and externally; and
- Prior experience with Investran accounting system would be an asset.
