Based in Irvine, Los Angeles, or New York, and reporting to a member of the senior most HR Leadership Team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing and evolving our organizational development approach for the global enterprise. You will collaborate with the Human Resources team, the Enterprise Change Office, and executive leadership to drive organizational health in a dynamic environment. This includes refining our approach to organizational effectiveness and supporting our Long-Term Strategic Plan. You will lead a team to provide insights into the health of the organization, ensuring that our operating model, organizational design, and team effectiveness solutions are delivered with excellence and have a significant impact on the business.
The Organizational Effectiveness (OE) team at Capital consults across the enterprise to help drive business strategy through improved organizational alignment via two service lines – operating model design and team effectiveness solutions. You will lead an experienced team focused on driving impact and achievement of desired business goals by translating strategy into operating capabilities, optimizing teams and elevating leadership capabilities.
We are searching for a leader and experienced OE/OD practitioner to join our team who has experience developing and implementing an Organizational Effectiveness function and leading other practitioners within a global, complex organization. You are adept at generating and evaluating ideas and developing strategic solutions, balanced with pragmatism to judge their efficacy and practical impact within the organizational context.
This role may be based from our Los Angeles, CA, Irvine, CA or New York City, NY offices.
More Specifically, You Will Be Accountable For
- Evolving and overseeing the enterprise-wide Organizational Effectiveness (OE) strategy and initiatives in support of company objectives. You will function as the OE subject matter expert to senior leaders across Capital Group and focus on developing relationships and strategic partnerships across the Enterprise.
- Providing OE consulting to business leaders to improve the effectiveness of the company through organizational diagnosis of people, systems, and structure.
Facilitating the design and development of flexible OE solutions to effectively respond to evolving business needs. Business needs may include:
- Workforce planning
- Organizational transformation and realignment
- Integration of teams
- Significant change to business processes and tools
- Collaborating with HR leaders to ensure the most effective diagnosis and application of OE frameworks, models and tools.
- Researching OE best practices and identifying opportunities to upgrade frameworks, models and tools. Benchmarking programs as appropriate against industry best practices to ensure the Organizational Effectiveness programs are top quality and produce a solid return on investment.
- Developing relationships with leading OE consulting groups and academic institutions. Leveraging relationships to bring emerging thinking and innovation to the organization, as well as managing vendor relationships and partnerships as needed.

- You have prior success developing and implementing an Organizational Effectiveness function - including building a business case, developing approach and resources – within a global, complex organization.
- Over 10 years of experience in Organizational Effectiveness, consulting, and broad Human Resources or related fields. This includes both consulting and client-side roles, with a strong background in developing strategic viewpoints and thought leadership in talent development.
- You are a seasoned leader with experience managing, mentoring and developing other practitioners.
- You have a proven track record of influencing senior business leaders, demonstrating courage and ability to challenge conventional thinking and bring new ideas to the business. You are skilled at facilitating large group meetings, influencing senior leaders and developing consensus.
- You have an innate ability to develop and implement practical strategies that reflect the unique characteristics of individual channels and businesses, in keeping with the overall business strategy. Your program and project management skillset, as well as process management expertise has allowed you to guide prior teams on effectively advancing their long-term agenda, while executing on short-term plans and initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree is required; MBA or advanced degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development or similar is preferred.

- Capital Group associates enjoy a hybrid work schedule, with three days/week being in-office and two days/week working from home.
Southern California Base Salary Range: $178,847-$304,040
New York Base Salary Range: $189,603-$322,325
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
