Monroe Capital is seeking a Business Development Analyst to support the Business Development team. This individual will play a key role in managing and maintaining our CRM, conducting competitor analysis, assisting with due diligence questionnaires (DDQs), and providing support to the Junior Business Development Team. The role is designed for a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and analytical skills who is eager to gain experience in private credit, business development, and financial services.
The Business Development Analyst must have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and capable of working collaboratively across teams.
This role offers a strong foundation in business development and may develop into a more client-facing position over time for the right candidate based on success and interest.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with CRM data management, including data entry, cleanup, and reporting to ensure accuracy and efficiency in tracking client interactions.
- Conduct competitor analysis and market research to support business development strategies.
- Support the completion of due diligence questionnaires (DDQs) and RFPs by coordinating responses and gathering necessary data.
- Collaborate with the Junior Business Development Team to provide operational and analytical support.
- Assist in tracking and analyzing business development metrics to provide insights on team performance and client engagement.
- Support team initiatives, special projects, and additional duties as assigned.
- Develop and maintain understanding of Monroe’s various platform and offerings.
- Maintain an understanding of industry/market trends.
- Utilize management reporting tools to capture sales and client activity.
Requirements
- 0-2 years of experience in financial services, or internal sales (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or Business-related degree (preferred).
- Experience with CRM tools and database resources.
- Experience in the asset management space or financial services (preferred).
- Successful track record of ability to be organized, thorough and effective with outreach.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong time management skills.
- Well-organized self-starter with high energy, creativity, and thoughtfulness.
- The ability to work within a team.
- Strong desire to succeed.
Compensation: It is expected that the base salary range for this position will be $75,000-$95,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications for the role. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial and / or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as vacation, sick time and parental leave) dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, the employee will be in an ‘at-will position’ and the Firm reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time including for reasons related to individual performance, Firm or individual department / team performance and market factors.
