About The Role
As a CBRE Occupancy Planning Director, you will direct the department in the achievement of strategic goals and occupancy planning deliverables.
The purpose of this Client Consulting Director is to support the Occupancy Planning Platform, at CBRE, with subject matter expertise, business development, operational rigor, account engagement and community development, in order to expand CBRE’s occupancy planning services, in North America.
This job is part of the Moves, Additions and Changes function. They are responsible for building space design, construction, and moving services.
What You’ll Do
Provide formal supervision to employees. Track the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and mentoring. Lead all aspects of the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
Coordinate and supervise the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
Establish performance objectives and deliverables related to the achievement of department goals and objectives. Develop, install, and maintain key processes for team efficiencies.
Applies expertise to offer occupancy planning diagnostics, to evaluate gaps, identify areas of opportunity, and recommend standard methodologies and solutions to CBRE clients and accounts
Provides occupancy planning, program transition support, to help new accounts staff and implement occupancy planning teams and practices
Engages with the occupancy planning community, at CBRE, to provide thought leadership, in the continual evolution of CBRE’s occupancy planning practice
Assist in writing RFP responses and implementing proposals.
Coordinate with the line of business platform. This includes subject area, geographic resources, and experts able to support the needs of the line of business's clients.
Manage and achieve financial, operational, and other measures as defined in deliverables and KPI's established.
Collaborate with other departments to forecast and develop annual real estate plans and install strategies for achieving savings and cost avoidance goals.
Conduct periodic interviews of business units and other client leaders to identify future business direction related to growth, labor, market changes, and other issues that could impact real estate requirements or provide insights relative to strategic and/or optimization-focused initiatives as the need arises.
Develop a five-year real estate plan and build benchmarks to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Apply a robust knowledge of many subject areas, the business, and key drivers which impact departmental and cross-functional performance.
Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Persuade managers and other colleagues to act Awhile being guided by the organization's functional business plans. Negotiate with external partners, vendors, and customers of divergent interests to reach a common goal.
Identify and solve multifaceted, sophisticated, operational, and organizational problems by bringing to bear the appropriate resources within or outside the department.
Significantly improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job subject area.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-12 years of solid experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring,
- appraising and exciting performance and retention is helpful.
- Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and balance problems.
- Leadership skills to set, manage and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple department results within a function.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Expert organizational skills and a sophisticated inquisitive attitude.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is $175,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Project Manager position is $195,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
