Lazard’s North American Sales Strategy and Business Management team is focused on creating leverage and scale within North America Distribution. The team partners closely with Distribution and Investment Teams as well as firm leadership to help drive sales and grow the distribution business. We are looking for an Associate to drive strategic cross-functional initiatives. You will collaborate with the Investment Services teams of the Firm, including Strategy, Operations, Technology, and more, as you execute projects that support the growth of our businesses.
We’ll trust you to:
- Contribute to implementation of complex cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders across the organization.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Firm to build and follow project plans and timelines.
- Contribute to sales processes by identifying opportunities to promote Lazard’s offerings
- Develop insights around pipeline and new business development, business at risk, and noteworthy wins
- Use various internal and external research tools to conduct analyses to inform sales strategy
- Contribute to presentations and analysis on strategic projects focused on driving sales results
You’ll need to have:
- Be capable of organizing and contributing to diverse project teams, with a willingness to perform detailed work when necessary, and proactively identifying and resolving roadblocks.
- Be comfortable navigating internal clients with the ability to drive decision making and gain consensus across groups, seniority levels, and interests in a complex global organizational structure.
- Effectively communicate with internal clients, simplify complexity, and provide thoughtful and succinct recommendations to senior management.
- Be inquisitive and analytical with the ability to gather and synthesize information to challenge assumptions and recommend solutions.
- Deliver results in a fast-paced environment while promoting a positive culture of collaboration and partnership.
You’ll need to have:
- 1-2 years of experience at an asset management or wealth management firm, institutional client service experience is preferred
- A bachelor’s degree
- Strong quantitative and qualitative reasoning ability
- A strong understanding of investment strategies
- Strong verbal communications skills and comfort engaging with employees at all levels.
- Excellent writing/editing skills – emphasis on the ability to write strong emails and communicate topics in writing
- A self-starter mindset with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work and effectively communicate with sales team members in different locations
- Proven ability to multi-task
- Strong understanding and proficiency with Salesforce as well as Microsoft Office Suite

What we offer:
We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $85,000 – 105,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, relevant skills for the role. Base salary is one component of Lazard Asset Management’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
