Focus Partners Wealth seeks a motivated and qualified individual for the position of Operations Associate. The Bookkeeper will join one of the firm’s Business Management teams, a team of 12. You will be working with a wide range of clients – from individuals & families to small businesses and non-profits. The primary responsibility of this role is client accounting and transactions processing.
Primary responsibilities for this position include:
- Processing
account applications, asset-transfer forms, and client-specific requests
at various custodians (e.g., check requests, journals, wires);
- Communicating
and interfacing with custodians on behalf of client(s), and initiating
proactive follow-through;
- Enter
and maintain accurate client and portfolio information in reporting
software;
- Act as
a liaison with client service and investment teams;
- Conduct
bi-weekly and monthly audits of internal systems (including restrictions,
asset categorization, performance reconciliation);
- Remain
up to date with policies and procedures; and
- Maintaining
electronic and physical records and files in an orderly fashion.
Qualifications:
- A
minimum of 1+ years of operations/client service experience in financial
services;
- Familiarity
with brokerage or registered investment advisory firm operations;
- Familiarity
with custodian platforms – primarily Schwab, Fidelity and Pershing;
- Proficiency
in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and proven ability
to learn other software and technology;
- Superior
attention to detail, self-initiated follow-through, and outstanding time
management and organizational skills;
- Strong
quantitative and analytical abilities, and excellent written and verbal
communication skills;
- Ability
to work in a fast-paced environment and to juggle multiple and competing
tasks and demands;
- Familiarity
with Tamarac & Salesforce systems a plus but not required; and
- Team player.

This position is an Non-Exempt role. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $45,000-$47,000. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other reward may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
