TITLE: BDC Private Credit Controller
LOCATION: Boston, MA
REPORTING TO: CFO of Alternative Funds
COMPANY:
A leading alternative investment firm (over $40B AUM) with both private equity and private credit strategies
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee private credit and BDC fund accounting, managing a team
- Prepare and review SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K) for BDCs and 40 Act funds
- Work with administrators on NAV calculations, reconciliations, and reporting
- Manage liquidity, credit facilities, financing, and portfolio monitoring
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, supporting BDC oversight
- Oversee internal controls, audits, and investor reporting
- Assist Investor Relations with quarterly reports and Board materials
- Support automation and process improvements
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field; CPA preferred
- 10+ years of finance and accounting experience in alternative investments
- BDC and 40 Act fund experience required; private credit background preferred
- Strong SEC reporting and compliance expertise
- Experience with fund administrators, NAV calculations, and reconciliations
