What is the position? Evercore’s RESA group seeks to hire a Vice President, based in NY, to lead the day-to-day execution of its clients’ fundraising mandates. Working closely with senior RESA team members and the distribution team, the project management team is responsible for deal execution, underwriting and evaluation of new mandates and client relationship coordination and management.
Primary Responsibilities: This individual will oversee the end-to-end project management of our fundraises and ensure seamless execution of initiatives that support capital formation and fund marketing efforts for our clients. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Serving as the primary / day-to-day contact for fund managers and point of coordination for the internal distribution team
- Overseeing development of clients’ capital raising materials (PPMs, DDQs and investor presentations)
- Serving as a key resource for internal teams and clients on fund structures, fund terms, investment strategies and industry trends
- Opining on fundraising strategy at the client level
- Participating in meetings with potential new managers, leading client due diligence and preparing engagement proposals
- Analyzing fund performance and market data to evaluate potential fundraising opportunities and positioning of current mandates
- Leading, mentoring, and developing junior bankers assigned to each fundraise
- Providing insights on investor engagement, roadshows and meetings
- Evaluating current project management best practices and suggesting / introducing new ones across all mandates
- Tracking fundraising commitments and pipeline
Specific Qualifications: The candidate will be ambitious, self-directed, technically adept, creative, resourceful, and passionately interested in private real estate. This position comes with challenging work and a demanding environment in a growing firm and team. The ideal candidate will have:
- Undergraduate degree required
- 6+ years of experience in project management, investor relations, fundraising or product management/development within private real estate
- Deep understanding of private funds, fundraising processes, and investor expectations
- Strong leadership skills and a demonstrated track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a strong, team-based attitude
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfort interacting with senior client executives and LPs
- Ability to manage a deal team, providing instruction as well as setting timelines, objectives, and standards
- Strong Excel modeling skills
- FINRA Series 79 (or 7) and Series 63

Expected Base Salary Range: $275,000 - $275,000
