TITLE: People Resources Specialist
LOCATION: New York City (Hybrid)
SALARY: $85,000 to $95,000 + 10% annual bonus

As a People Resources Specialist, you'll play a vital role in fostering a positive and productive work environment by supporting various People team functions. You'll work closely with the People team to execute initiatives related to recruiting, retaining, and developing our employees. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about helping others thrive in their roles. You will report to the Sr. People Resources Manager.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee new hire onboarding and offboarding activities, including preparing materials, scheduling training sessions, owning new hire swag, facilitating new hire meetings, and handling administrative tasks related to employee arrivals and departures.
- Own maintenance of employee records and databases, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. Generate HR reports and conduct analysis to support the People team in data-driven decision-making.
- Track and ensure compliance on all employee information and documentation as dictated by governing agencies and policies, including new hire required documentation, employee actions, performance reviews, progressive discipline, and termination.
- Contribute to HR projects and tasks as assigned by leadership.
- Assist with payroll processing,, and maintaining compliant HR materials, including policies and employee handbooks.
- Assist in benefits administration, including company communications, liaising with benefits carriers, and managing projects related to benefits compliance
- Partner with People team to plan and oversee People programs, including performance reviews, monthly employee remote connectivity offerings, feedback cycles, engagement surveys, and presentations
- Maintain the people resources intranet site, ensuring collateral is up to date and relevant for all employees
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns, providing timely and empathetic support.
- Help organize team-building activities, employee recognition programs, and other initiatives to enhance employee engagement and morale.
- Assist with the recruitment process as needed. Duties include identifying candidates, performing reference checks, issuing employment contracts, and maintaining the applicant tracking system database.

- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, with a sharp eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.
- Proactive attitude. Consistently looking ahead with a willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities.
- Experiencing liaising with benefits carriers overseeing medical, life/disability, and 401k
- Experience with ADP, Lattice, and Gsuite
