Northleaf is currently recruiting for an Intermediate Analyst to join the Cash management team within Investor Operations. This position will be based in Northleaf’s Toronto office and will report to the Senior Manager, Cash Management, Investor Operations.
Accountabilities
As part of the Investor Operations team within Northleaf, the Intermediate Analyst will play a key role in the Cash Management Operations group.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Transaction processing including wire payments, EFTs, foreign exchange, investment funding, investor distributions
- Maintain the daily and long-term cash flow forecasts
- Reconcile actual cash positions to forecasted cash positions, identifying any major changes and trends
- Prepare and distribute cash management reporting when necessary
- Review and sign-off funding approval notices and help manage internal controls around cash transactions and funding requirements
- Liaise with Tax and Legal to prepare documents required for new bank/brokerage account openings
- Support annual audit, tax and other compliance reviews
- Primary point of contact with TPA’s on payment set ups, template approvals
- Respond to TPA requests and questions
- Template reviews
- Investment closing sub doc reviews
- Treasury Management System entries and adjustments
- Operate as an extension of PC Ops team
- Primary contact with banking partners – developing a strong relation with banks and subject matter expert for the various banking portals
- Support treasury initiatives as requested by the Senior Manager, Cash Management (e.g., hedging, liquidity, etc.)
Qualifications
- Accounting, Finance or equivalent degree required
- Accounting, Financial Analyst or CTP designation strongly preferred
- Must have prior cash management experience with Canadian banking platforms, as well as knowledge of international banking standards and processes (SWIFT network, ISO20022)
- Previous experience working within the asset management industry is a definite asset – particularly supporting Private Credit Operations
- General understanding of Private Credit deal structures and credit facilities
- Strong attention to detail; accuracy and ability to handle high transaction volumes
- Professionalism, integrity and strong business acumen
- Excellent communication and time-management skills
- Able to own work and collaborate within a team environment
- Flexibility, adaptability and taking initiative
- A team player with strong interpersonal and relationship skills; effective at building relationships across all business lines
