Job Summary:
Prime Finance is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst to join our Data and AI team. The successful candidate will leverage Microsoft Fabric and demonstrate proven experience with Power BI, Power Query, DAX, and Excel. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining business reports and dashboards, collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, and ensuring data accuracy and consistency. This role emphasizes teamwork, adaptability, and effective communication with stakeholders at all levels. The position reports to the Senior Manager, AI Solutions and Data Architecture and plays a crucial role in supporting strategic decision-making processes and ensuring best practices in data governance, quality, and security.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain business reports and dashboards using Power BI, leveraging Microsoft Fabric to enhance data integration and analytics capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into effective data models and reports.
- Utilize Power Query to extract, transform, and load data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Develop calculated columns and define measures, as well as implement row-level security (RLS) using DAX.
- Perform data analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making processes.
- Convert Excel-based reports to Power BI, ensuring they continue to align with current business needs and standards.
- Work closely with IT and other departments to ensure data governance, data quality, and data security best practices are followed.
- Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on Power BI, Power Query, DAX, and other relevant functionalities.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data analytics and reporting technologies.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field or relevant work experience.
- 2-3 years proven experience with Power BI, including Power Query and DAX.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis tools.
- 1-2 years’ experience with data integration and analytics using Microsoft Fabric or similar platform.
- 1-2 years’ experience developing semantic models and measures.
- Experience with developing paginated reports.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to identify desired insights and required source data to support them.
- Ability to design visually appealing reports and dashboards.
- Experience working in a team-oriented environment, demonstrating adaptability and a cooperative approach.
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data security best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Experience with other data visualization tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL) is a plus.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in/exposure to real estate, tax, accounting, fundraising, investor relations, and/or finance sectors.
- PL-300 certification or other similar certification in related technologies.
Logistical Requirements (logistical requirements are subject to change based on business need but are anticipated to be):
- Ability to work four full business days a week in Prime’s San Francisco or New York office.
- Ability to travel to conferences and other Prime offices up to 20%.
The expected salary for this role is $74,000 - $115,000. Actual compensation will be determined by several components, including but not limited to: relevant experience, skills and qualifications, base salary of internal peers, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and a variety of financial, wellbeing, and health / welfare benefits.
