Overview
This position is primarily responsible for supporting Natixis Investment Managers’ operational risk management program. The individual will interact with Natixis Investment Managers’ affiliated investment subsidiaries in conducting the annual operational risk assessment, as well as day-to-day administration of the program. Key responsibilities are outlined below. This is a hybrid position located in Boston, MA.
What You Will Do
Risk Assessment
- Assist in conducting the annual operational risk assessment process
- Preparation and planning of the quantitative operational risk assessments using the agreed upon methodology at each affiliate.
- Review and analyze the results of the quantitative operational risk assessments.
- Assist the affiliates in identifying action items resulting from the assessments and developing action plans to address those items.
- Conduct risk assessment workshops at the affiliates, as necessary
Managing Operational Risk
- Review operational loss incident data received from affiliates and acquire any additional information and/or details required to be maintained in the Operational Risk Incident System (“OSIRISK”)
- Categorize risk incidents as required by Basel Capital Accord.
- Timely entry of loss incidents.
- Review, analyze and monitor operational risk incident data for each affiliate and report periodically to senior management.
- Produce Key Risk Indicators for affiliates and ensure indicators are updated.
Vendor Risk Management
- Assist with the execution of the Vendor Risk Program. Assist with the evaluation and due diligence of Natixis Vendors and assist with the oversight of affiliate vendor programs.
Other
- Responsible for consolidating risk metrics, monthly monitoring dashboards, and related reporting.
- Complete reoccurring and ad hoc reporting request on behalf of affiliates.
- Conduct related special projects/analyses on an as needed basis.
- Ad-hoc projects such as writing procedures and policy.
- Assist with the creation of materials for the various Natixis Committees.
What You Will Bring
- Minimum one year of experience in risk, internal audit, compliance, or accounting in financial services (asset management)
- Experience at a bank-owned asset manager a plus
- Ability to exercise objectivity, good judgment
- Adaptability to work in a decentralized environment
- Proficient in manipulating and analyzing data
- Demonstrated abilities in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and OneNote)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proficient in French would be a plus
