JOB DESCRIPTION
The Trade Support Specialist is a part of the Trade Support team in the Trade Operations group. The ideal candidate for the Trade Support role is detail oriented and can work well both independently and as part of a collaborative team. This role will be primarily dedicated to managing mandatory and voluntary corporate actions events but will also be active in reviewing loan amendments and other processes that support trading activity. The role requires coordination with portfolio managers, strategists, traders, analysts and other operations professionals, as well as with third-party agents, custodians, and broker-dealers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for monitoring mandatory and voluntary corporate action events, including but not limited to calls, tenders, exchanges, consents, mergers, spin-offs, stock splits, and SPACs
- Record decisions from strategists/analysts and ensure accurate processing of all events
- Maintain close communication across all custodians to verify event details and confirm voluntary instructions
- Reconcile the effect of corporate actions on internal systems and custodian records
- Assist in processing loan amendments and support other operational processes, such as retrieving ERISA docs and assisting with trade onboarding activities
QUALIFICATIONS
- General knowledge of domestic and global fixed income and equity securities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and basic understanding of Bloomberg
- Strong written and verbal communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to details
- Able to multitask and be flexible in navigating unstructured processes
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field
