This position is responsible for daily records processing (paper and electronic) as part of a multi-functional, high productivity team environment. Cross-trained functionality includes mail-sort, paper and electronic scanning, indexing, address changes, data entry, mailings, and special project work as assigned. All cross-trained duties are to be performed as needed and within unit assigned productivity standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Index daily mail, paper, and converted documents, and execute data entry of information from a variety of sources within established department processing standards.
- Sort mail, process address changes, scan and index documents, and other related member and employer records duties.
- Maintain essential skills through cross-training for regular and cross-trained duties.
- Work with the Office Services Analyst as needed for continuous process improvements.
- Update and maintain member information within line of business solutions.
- Use of external applications (such as Accurint) for research and data base updates.
- Mail out original birth, marriage, death or other official certificates/documents as requested
- Assist in the Mail Center, as directed.
- Monthly reporting of cross-trained duties as assigned.
- Provide backup coverage for Senior Imaging Clerks to ensure all shredding bins are emptied bi-weekly.
- Assist the Office Services Manager with possible tenant improvement projects and capital projects as needed.
- Other duties or projects, as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) w/12 months office experience; OR High school w/technical school or college business/office courses. Basic Microsoft office skills required.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of members/employers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Salary & Benefits:
The expected annual salary range for this role is $35,000 - $41,000. Please note the salary information is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. The range listed is just one component of IMRF's total compensation package for employees. Other factors include the following benefits:
