Summary:The Senior Accountant is primarily responsible for the timely preparation of monthly accounting and tax records and related entries along with assistance in financial modeling and analysis.
Primary Responsibilities:- Completes a variety of activities as it relates to the financial statement close process including operating expense accruals.
- Assist in the preparation of materials targeted at senior leadership relating to quarterly and annual deliverables.
- Performs general ledger reconciliations.
- Complete various tasks related to quarterly tax distributions and corporate tax returns.
- Performs various analytical requests that require the ability to gather and organize data using historical metrics and trends.
- Support FP&A team in specific financial modeling and analysis projects utilizing Power BI.
- Identifies ways to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the department.
- Participates in special projects as assigned by management.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- At least two years experience in a similar role.
- CPA preferred.
- Must be detail oriented with the ability to interpret and analyze a variety of data.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Accounting software. Power BI experience a plus.
For Illinois only: The expected annual base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000. The selected candidate salary is based on numerous factors such as, but not limited to work experience, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, skill level, and geographic location. This is the current estimate of the base salary range intended for this role at the time of this posting. The base salary range may be modified in the future.
