Summary:The Manager, Institutional Marketing, is primarily responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies for institutional products, creating and maintaining institutional marketing literature, sales and client presentations, to accelerate sales cycles and build client retention.
Primary Responsibilities:- Shape and execute strategies and tactics that support institutional product sales, servicing, and retention.
- Develop and maintain institutional marketing communications in partnership with institutional sales team members, portfolio specialists, portfolio managers, and product management to support sales efforts.
- Draft and support written materials such as targeted email campaigns that engage institutional prospects and clients.
- Provide timely and accurate updates to marketing literature, such as fact sheets, attribution commentary and GIPS documents.
- Collaborate with digital marketing team to distribute institutional content across digital landscape
- Oversee Web site updates for the institutional channel, ensuring content is accurate, compelling, and presented in a timely fashion.
- Maintain responsibility for slide and presentation updates, ensuring consistency with brand standards and messaging.
- Utilize data and analytics to measure and report on institutional marketing campaign effectiveness.
- Provide marketing-related support for external and internal institutional-focused meetings and events.
- Strive to improve knowledge by conducting ongoing industry research and keeping current with market trends.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the business including financial terminology, Calamos products, strategies, and organizational structure.

Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Marketing, Finance, Communications, Journalism or English.
- Five to seven years experience working for an asset manager or financial consulting firm. Experience with institutional marketing preferred.
- Proven project management skills.
- Must have excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet multiple deadlines.
- Must have an avid interest in investments and a good understanding of investment terminology.
- Comfortable working with databases. Experience with eVestment, Morningstar Direct and Money Market Directory and Seismic a plus.
- PC skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe products with the ability to learn new programs quickly.
For Illinois only: The expected annual base salary range for this position is $95,000 - $125,000. The selected candidate salary is based on numerous factors such as, but not limited to work experience, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, skill level, and geographic location. This is the current estimate of the base salary range intended for this role at the time of this posting. The base salary range may be modified in the future.
