The Opportunity:
As an Associate, Treasury, you will support the daily Treasury operations across Hamilton Lane’s platforms, ensuring optimal cash management, liquidity oversight, banking administration, and execution of treasury-related initiatives. You will be seated in a high-visibility role with cross-functional exposure to Finance, Fund Operations, and Portfolio Management.
Your responsibilities will be to:
- Monitor daily cash balances across fund and management company accounts
- Support short-term and long-term cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning
- Coordinate funding for capital calls, distributions, investments, and FX transactions
- Assist with treasury reporting for internal stakeholders and investment teams
- Prepare and initiate domestic and international payments (wires, ACH, FX, etc.)
- Maintain banking platforms and administer user access and controls
- Assist with the onboarding of new bank accounts and KYC documentation
- Reconcile bank transactions and investigate discrepancies as needed
- Support treasury process automation and implementation of new systems/tools
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures
- Participate in treasury-related audits, compliance checks, and SOX controls testing
- Collaborate with Fund Accounting, Investor Relations, Legal, Tax, and Operations teams
- Assist with foreign exchange hedging and execution, as directed
- Support treasury involvement in portfolio company and fund-level transactions
Your background will include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 3–5 years’ experience in Treasury, Corporate Finance, Fund Operations, or Banking
- Prior experience in asset management or private markets preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Treasury systems (e.g., Kyriba, Hazeltree) a plus
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with a high attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Project management experience a plus.
