The Opportunity:
To satisfy the needs of our growing client base and managed accounts, we are looking to hire an Investment Associate to join our Real Estate Investment Team in Conshohocken, PA. As an Investment Associate, you will perform due diligence on new real estate investment opportunities. Investment due diligence will be across primary funds and transactions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in due diligence efforts on primary funds, direct co-investments and secondary transactions across real estate sectors.
- Collaborating with Analysts and senior investment professionals in the due diligence process, while playing an integral role in the training and development of the analyst team.
- Participating in General Partner meetings, asset tours and site visits.
- Demonstrating the ability to perform knowledgeable analytics and identify qualitative factors crucial to real estate investing is imperative.
- Modeling complex transactions, distribution waterfalls, and familiarity with negotiations of partnership and transaction documents.
- Completing special projects, including client projects, industry analysis, and geographical studies, as necessary.
Your background will include:
- 3 to 5 years’ relevant investment experience, including transaction experience with real estate, secondary purchases, and/or direct investing.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience from primary fund investing only will be considered, but preference for those candidates with demonstrated secondary or direct transaction skills.
- Strong modeling and quantitative analytical skills.
- Poised presentation skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and measurable success as a strategic thinker.
- Ability to be self-directed and actively seek out information and resources to complete assignments effectively and efficiently.
- Strong initiative and independent performance.
- Ability to present and defend opinions and investment theses.
