Job Purpose
The Director, Sales Support leads the team responsible for providing expense, sales support and phone bank service; ensuring top tier support for wholesalers. The Director closely collaborates across departments to enhance wholesaler support through accuracy and efficiency of workflows.
Essential Responsibilities
- Manages staff and has overall accountability for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, training and development, discipline, and termination.
- Creates and develops processes to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects and assignments delivered by both Phonebank and Sales Assistant teams.
- Creates and monitors reporting structures that track the effectiveness and overall activity of both the Phonebank and Sales Assistant teams.
- Identifies and compiles wholesaler best practices and trends and disseminates findings to sales organization for possible implementation and action.
- Works with multiple areas within the organization to provide a high level of support.
- Directs and/or performs ad hoc research and reporting as needed.
- Engages key stakeholders on a regular cadence.
- Identifies and evaluates potential automation initiatives.
- Coordinates and leads staff meetings.
- Develops an ongoing training curriculum to support Sales Assistant development.
- Performs electronic communication review of Sales Assistants.
- Shadows Sales Assistants on a routine basis to identify opportunities for process improvement.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong ability to motivate and manage staff, including the ability to delegate.
- Strong knowledge of Jackson’s products, policies, procedures, and systems, or ability to obtain this knowledge quickly.
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Strong research and information gathering skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
5+ years of business or financial services industry experience required.
2+ years of management experience preferred.
FINRA SIE, FINRA Series 6 or 7, FINRA Series 24 or 26 required.
