What You Will Do
As Vice President, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping PGIM’s success. This position partners closely with key business units across Prudential—Fixed Income, Product Management, Product Strategy, Marketing, Product Development, Sales, Compliance, Legal, and Fund Administration—driving collaboration and innovation at every step.
Reporting directly to the Head of Product Management at PGIM, you’ll influence strategic decisions and help deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients and stakeholders.
This position is based in our office in Newark, New Jersey and will follow a hybrid schedule (3 days in office).
What You Can Expect
- Accurately and effectively position the Fixed Income products based on information from PGIM’s fixed income investment teams, external news sources, internally run data, feedback from sales, and other sources.
- Proactively identify issues impacting the product line and recommend next steps/solutions.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the product line. Review existing product line and recommend changes/enhancements where applicable. e.g., pricing, benchmark, portfolio managers, strategy and investment limits.
- Work closely with sales management and internal partners on product positioning, recommending the development of new materials and ways to enhance existing pieces.
- Act as an advocate for the fixed income product line. Know PGIM’s fixed income strategies, how to navigate the firm, how to attain information, and develop processes for effective communication.
- Responsible for reviewing others’ work to ensure accuracy and message consistency.
- Monitor capital markets, trade publications, flows, performance, portfolio characteristics and competitive landscape.
- Present product updates and positioning to sales teams
- Work with internal groups on the structure and positioning of new products.
- Train new hires on the basics of the product line and current employees on new products, product changes, etc…
- Drive relationships with Distribution (Sales, National Accounts, IODC, etc…) along with internal partners (Product Development, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Fund Admin, etc)
- Respond to sales inquiries in a timely manner (answer questions, provide data, etc…)
- Present strategy information and product updates on calls with Financial Professionals.
- Legally required work – Review shareholder reports and prospectuses, 15(c) peer reviews, capital gains distributions, etc.
- Proactively and reactively generate analytical data that can support product positioning.
- Create & update fund presentations and fund positioning documents.
- Respond to special requests from Senior Management.
- Assist with competitive analysis and positioning points.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Series 7 license
- Strong fixed income expertise with ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Solid understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and industry issues
- Effective communicator and collaborator with PGIM Sales and Marketing teams
- Detail-oriented, process-driven, and able to manage multiple projects on time
- Skilled at influencing without direct authority
- Proficient in PC tools and industry platforms (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Lipper, FactSet, Morningstar Direct, LANA, Bloomberg, etc.)

- CFA or MBA preferred
- 7+ years of industry experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities
- Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills; able to establish and maintain effective, cooperative relationships across all departments and organizational levels
- Creative problem-solver who identifies process improvements and sales opportunities
- Driven to contribute and grow within the organization

Note: The salary range for this role is from
$210,000 to $230,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
