The RDS Data Insights (RDI) team delivers high‑value analytics, data‑quality intelligence, and benchmarking solutions that support clients across global trade‑reporting jurisdictions. We are seeking a skilled
Data Analyst with strong
Snowflake expertise and
Python proficiency to join the team.
In this role, you will contribute to both the evolution and the stability of the RDS ecosystem—exploring and applying
AI capabilities within the RDS space while also supporting the maintenance and enhancement of the existing
TRA application.
You will partner closely with the RDS Product team to advance AI‑driven initiatives, help shape new data‑insight capabilities, and ensure the continued delivery of accurate, high‑quality analytics to our global client base.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform complex data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights that inform business and product decisions.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain advanced SQL queries and stored procedures within the Snowflake environment to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing at scale.
- Design and implement scalable data models (e.g., star schema, data vault) optimized for Snowflake architecture to support analytical workloads and business intelligence initiatives.
- Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and prepare data from diverse sources into Snowflake, using tools such as Snowpipe, Streams, and Tasks.
- Create, manage, and enhance comprehensive reports and interactive dashboards using BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) to effectively communicate insights and recommendations to team members.
- Monitor, solve, and fine-tune Snowflake queries, virtual warehouses, and resource utilization to improve performance, minimize latency, and optimize cost efficiency.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and governance by implementing stringent validation rules, data‑masking techniques, and role‑based access controls (RBAC) within the Snowflake ecosystem.
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams—including data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders—to gather requirements and deliver high‑impact data solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior analysts and developers by promoting best practices in data modeling, pipeline development, and Snowflake optimization.
- Stay current with emerging Snowflake capabilities and industry trends (e.g., Snowpark, AI/ML integrations) and recommend innovative solutions to enhance analytical and AI‑driven capabilities within the organization.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Talent Needed for Success
- Proficiency with Snowpark (Python/Java), Snowflake Cortex AI, and the Streamlit framework
- Strong expertise in Python for data processing, automation, and analytical workflows.
- Hands‑on experience with Snowflake on AWS cloud services
Additional Information
- Certificate in Snowflake DB/AWS cloud practitioner is preferred.
The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
