Job Description
Grata is scaling rapidly following a major acquisition, with accelerated product development, international expansion, and new buyer personas. Product marketing sits at the center of this growth - and this role exists to bring structure, clarity, and leadership to a function that has outgrown ad hoc execution.
As Director of Product Marketing, you will lead and scale the product marketing function, building the systems, playbooks, and programs required to support a high-velocity product roadmap. You’ll manage and develop a small but growing PMM team, own our product messaging platform, and serve as a critical connective layer between Product, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and executive leadership. This is a senior, visible role that blends strategy, leadership, and hands-on judgment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and own a scalable product marketing playbook for launching new products and features, tailored to a fast-moving, iterative product development cycle
- Design and operationalize clear launch frameworks, defining what different types of launches look like and how teams collaborate across Product, Marketing, Sales, and CS
- Own and evolve Grata’s product messaging and positioning platform, ensuring consistency, clarity, and differentiation as the product and market mature
- Build formal programs for collateral development, competitive research, and beta launches, ensuring outputs are high quality and reusable across teams
- Run structured beta programs to gather feedback from internal teams and customers, translating insight into actionable improvements and go-to-market readiness
- Lead, mentor, and manage a Product Marketing Manager and Product Marketing Associate, setting clear expectations and raising the bar for the function
- Act as a highly visible, cross-functional leader educating internal teams on product marketing priorities while setting clear expectations for launch readiness
- Partner closely with executive leadership, particularly the Co-Founder and COO, to capture product vision and translate limited, high-level feedback into compelling messaging and collateral that resonates in market
About You
- 6-8 years of experience in product marketing, with a track record of building and scaling PMM systems in a fast-growing B2B or SaaS environment
- Experience marketing technical products, ideally data or intelligence products, with the ability to translate complex capabilities into clear, compelling value for buyers; prior exposure to Grata or similar platforms is a plus
- Proven experience leading and developing product marketers, not just executing as an individual contributor
- Strong launch intuition; you understand not just what a launch is, but how creative, distribution, enablement, and timing work together to drive impact
- Comfortable operating in highly cross-functional environments, aligning Product, Marketing, Sales, and CS around shared outcomes
- Experienced working directly with founders or executive leaders, and adept at translating sparse, high-level input into complete, market-ready narratives
- Exceptional communicator; clear, proactive, and transparent, even when navigating competing priorities and feedback
- Highly organized and systems-oriented, with the ability to turn chaos into repeatable processes
- Resilient and adaptable; comfortable receiving feedback from all corners of the organization and incorporating it constructively
