Jefferies is seeking an associate for its II‑ranked
Brokers, Asset Managers & Exchanges (BAX) Equity Research team. The candidate will support the senior analyst in delivering extensive company and industry research across the brokerage, traditional and alternative asset management, and global exchange sectors. Responsibilities include building detailed company and sector models, conducting deep‑dive fundamental analysis, and producing written research used by clients and institutional sales.
Responsibilities will include:
- Creation and maintenance of detailed company and industry models covering brokers, asset managers, and exchanges
- Producing in‑depth written research on individual companies and sector‑wide structural themes
- Monitoring regulatory developments, capital markets activity, and industry trends that impact the BAX ecosystem
- Developing strong relationships with industry contacts and company management teams
- Communicating stock calls, thematic views, and key trends to institutional investors, salespeople, and other internal constituencies
Key qualifications:
- Highly detail‑oriented, intellectually curious, and willing to work long hours
- Passion for stocks, markets, and analyzing financial business models
- Excellent written communication skills
- Self‑motivated problem‑solver with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Fluency in accounting and financial statement analysis
- Experience in or knowledge of financials, capital markets, asset management, or exchanges a plus
- Securities licensing a plus (Series 7/63 and 86/87)
Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $135,000 - $175,000.

The salary offered will take into consideration an individual’s experience level and qualifications.
