Your opportunity
We seek to add a motivated and engaged individual to join our private credit investing team as an Associate in order to support the evaluation of new investment opportunities as well as the ongoing management of existing portfolio investments.
You will:
- Research various industries and market segments to help develop and refine actionable investment ideas and theses
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses used to support the underwriting of potential investment ideas and theses
- Support senior associates in processing new investment opportunities, ranging from market assessments, competitive positioning, and financial analysis
- Build robust, flexible financial models to support deal underwriting and deal structuring efforts, as directed by deal team leads
- Facilitate diligence efforts on pursued deals, including business diligence, risk underwriting, and managing external advisors
- Perform ad-hoc analysis to support transaction negotiations
- Prepare internal memoranda and other materials used to support investment recommendations and to communicate with internal constituents
- Monitor and support existing portfolio companies, including identifying acquisition targets, identifying new product/market opportunities, assisting with financial planning and attending board meetings
- Facilitate ongoing interactions with management teams, attorneys, accountants, consultants, investment and commercial bankers, financing parties, and other service providers
- Carry out other duties as assigned

Must have skills
- At least two years of experience at an investment bank (asset-backed credit experience is preferred but experience with restructuring, leveraged finance, or debt capital markets is also valued) or principal-oriented investment fund (private credit, mezzanine debt or private equity)
- Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline is required
- Fluency with principles of finance, accounting, credit analysis and valuation
- Advanced financial modelling skills and the ability to analyse financial statements while working in a transaction-oriented environment
- Self-motivated and capable of multi-tasking in a high-pressure environment
- Positive, professional demeanor, outgoing personality, and a high level of initiative
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Collaboration skills – Works effectively in a fast-paced, hard-working, and high-driven team-oriented environment
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills

Compensation information
The base salary range for this position is $125,000-$130,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.
