Position
Northleaf is currently recruiting for an Analyst to join the Cash management team within Investor Operations. This position is for a new role and will be based in Northleaf’s Toronto office, reporting to the Manager, Cash Management, Investor Operations.
Accountabilities
As part of the Investor Operations team within Northleaf, the Analyst will play a key role in the Cash Management Operations group.
Specific Responsibilities Will Include
- Transaction processing including wire payments, EFTs, foreign exchange, investment funding, investor distributions
- Maintain the daily and long-term cash flow forecasts
- Reconcile actual cash positions to forecasted cash positions, identifying any major changes and trends
- Investigate unexpected inflows by liaising with banks and Northleaf internal teams to identify source and purpose
- Identify and follow up on non-receipts of expected inflows, coordinating with Sales teams (investor-related) and General Partners (investment related)
- Prepare and distribute cash management reporting when necessary
- Liaise with Tax and Legal to prepare documents required for new bank/brokerage account openings
- Support annual audit, tax and other compliance reviews
- Respond to third party fund administrator requests and questions
- Wire template reviews
- Investment closing sub doc reviews
- Treasury Management System entries and adjustments
- Review monthly bank reconciliation
- Support other treasury initiatives as requested by the Manager, Cash Management (e.g., hedging, liquidity, etc.)
Qualifications
- Accounting, Finance or equivalent degree required
- Accounting, Financial Analyst or CTP designation strongly preferred
- Must have prior cash management experience with Canadian banking platforms, as well as knowledge of international banking standards and processes (SWIFT network, ISO20022)
- Previous experience working within the asset management industry is a definite asset
- Strong attention to detail; accuracy and ability to handle high transaction volumes
- Professionalism, integrity and strong business acumen
- Excellent communication and time-management skills
- Able to own work and collaborate within a team environment
- Flexibility, adaptability and taking initiative
- A team player with strong interpersonal and relationship skills; effective at building relationships across all business lines
Compensation
The expected compensation range (base salary and incentive compensation) for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 per year.
