OverviewThe primary responsibility of this role is to analyze various investment opportunities within the securitized products space, specifically focusing on ABS, CMBS, and RMBS type securities. We are open to candidates with 0 - 2 years of experience, demonstrating familiarity with securitized products, strong mathematical skills, and technical proficiency with various database tools. This role reports to the Head of Structuring and is based out of our Denver location.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support senior investment professionals in analyzing and executing securitized products investments, with a specific focus on the RMBS and ABS cusip markets, spanning the full capital structure. Examples include:
- RMBS: CRT, Non-QM, RPL/NPL, HELOCs, and others
- ABS: consumer, auto, student loans, and others
- Conduct underwriting tasks, including performing cash flow analysis and reviewing capital structures of potential investment opportunities.
- Build and maintain detailed cash flow models in Intex and Excel.
- Utilize experience with rating agencies' websites and models to efficiently find and source credit reports, peer analysis, methodologies, and related documents.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, math, or another quantitative field with a high GPA from a top-rated institution
- 0-2 years of securitized products experience from a buyside, sell-side, or consulting firm, in either a valuations or structuring capacity.
- Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills (proficiency in Excel, Intex, etc.).
- Meticulous attention to detail coupled with robust project management and organizational abilities.
- Consistent demonstration of clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective time management and project coordination skills to handle multiple projects.
- Comfort working within a dynamic team and excelling in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Excellent programming skills in object-oriented and procedural languages such as Python, MATLAB, R, C++, VB.Net, and C#. Familiarity with both relational and object databases.
- Familiarity with Intex Dealmaker is a plus.
Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registration
Location & Compensation:
- This role will be based in Bayview’s Denver office. We have existing team members in this location.
- Base compensation is expected to be $70-100k with the opportunity for incentive compensation including bonus compensation.
