Your role
Are you an experienced credit analyst? Do you have a thorough understanding of fundamental corporate credit analysis, especially non-financial corporates? Do you also enjoy thinking like a strategist to evaluate how corporate credit performs in different macroeconomic environments? Are you able to evaluate the attractiveness of corporate credit relative to the wider fixed income universe and within the context of a whole portfolio? Do you enjoy working with financial advisors and individual investors?
We are seeking an experienced fixed income strategist to join our Chief Investment Office (CIO). Your primary responsibilities will be to provide credit coverage of a selection of high yield, investment grade and preferred securities issuers, across different sectors, including utilities and energy. You will also recommend specific securities that offer the best opportunities and provide tactical credit guidance to our overall fixed income strategy.
We’re looking for someone who can:
- provide a view on the fundamental credit outlook of select corporate issuers, including an investment recommendation on corporate bonds and preferred securities
- formulate an analysis of the high yield market as part of the fixed income asset allocation relative value views and insights
- coordinate views and activities with the global CIO team.
- contribute to the CIO’s flagship publications, such as the CIO House View, the Fixed Income Strategist, and Yield & Income
- publish issuer credit views, blogs and ad-hoc thematic reports
- appear as a featured credit expert in UBS CIO podcasts, videos and roundtables
- present credit views to financial advisors and clients

The Americas Fixed Income team is part of UBS Global Wealth Management's CIO, which synthesizes the analysis and expertise of our global network of economists, strategists, and analysts. We are present around the globe, closely monitoring and assessing financial developments, and identifying emerging trends or economic inflection points. Our team's primary goal is to identify and effectively communicate investment opportunities and market risks to help preserve and grow our clients' wealth.
Your expertise
- active FINRA Series 7, 63, 86 and 87 licenses
- extensive background as a practicing credit analyst and fixed income strategist
- bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree in finance or related field preferred
- business savvy with strong English communication and interpersonal skills
- ideally CFA designation preferred.
- previous experience working with financial advisors and wealth management clients helpful
