Responsibilities
PJT Park Hill (“Park Hill”) is our industry-leading advisor and intermediary business focused on alternative investment vehicles in the private equity, real estate, hedge fund and secondary advisory asset classes.
The Private Capital Solutions group, our secondary advisory practice, is one of the most experienced investment banking teams in the industry and has been involved in some of the largest, most complex transactions since the team’s founding in 2008. The practice leverages the firm’s global relationships to deliver superior results across the private capital universe. Our highly specialized team focuses on delivering independent advisory and execution services to financial sponsors and institutional investors across a broad spectrum of strategic transactions including:
- Institutional Investor Solutions: Divesture of limited partnership portfolios of private fund interests, valuation of private fund interests, transaction structuring and execution support.
- Financial Sponsor Solutions: Fund recapitalizations, fund restructurings, tender offers, management team spinouts and portfolio asset sales;
- Structured Liquidity Solutions: Preferred equity, NAV financing, Securitizations and other debt-oriented solutions for illiquid financial holdings
Directors within Private Capital Solutions would be responsible for the following:
- Leading the advisory and execution of secondary transactions, including LP portfolio sales, GP-led solutions (continuation funds, restructurings, and tender offers) and other private market liquidity solutions;
- Overseeing the structuring of complex transactions, including managing negotiations, pricing and term sheet development;
- Overseeing financial modeling, valuation analysis and due diligence processes to ensure robust transaction execution;
- Participating in both internal and external client meetings, negotiation of contracts and other agreements and due diligence sessions;
- Managing and mentoring junior team members, providing guidance on deal execution and fostering their professional development.
Qualifications
PJT Partners seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition, qualified candidates will possess the following:
- 6+ years of financial services experience in private equity, secondary advisory or investment banking;
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred but not required;
- Outstanding quantitative and analytical skills;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a team environment;
- Exceptional organization and time management skills;
- Strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure.
Expected annualized base salary of $250,000 to $300,000.
This range represents the low and high ends of the expected annualized base salary for this position. The specific base salary received by any employee will be informed by a number of factors, including but not limited to, role level and scope, location, candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills and experience.
Base salary is one component of PJT Partners’ compensation structure. In addition to base salary, PJT Partners’ compensation structure may include additional rewards, incentives and benefits, including but not limited to, a discretionary bonus component.
