Responsibilities:
The Head of Communications will lead the development and execution of a cohesive strategic communications plan that aligns with PJT Partners' business goals.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing a global communications strategy that enhances PJT's brand and market position;
- Overseeing all global internal and external communications, including press releases, media relations and corporate communications;
- Managing media inquiries and public statements;
- Collaborating with senior leadership to develop and disseminate key messages to stakeholders, including clients, investors and employees;
- Developing an executive communications plan for key firm leaders;
- Monitoring industry trends, market dynamics and emerging issues to proactively manage the firm's reputation;
- Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with key media contacts and industry influencers;
- Overseeing the creation and distribution of content across multiple channels, including the company website, social media and marketing materials;
- Ensuring all communications are consistent with PJT's brand voice and strategic objectives;
- Measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of communications strategies and initiatives;
- Managing external partners
Qualifications:
PJT Partners seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding leadership skills, a global perspective and the ability to craft compelling narratives for a diverse set of internal and external audiences, and should have extensive experience in communications, public relations and media relations within the financial services industry.
In addition, qualified candidates will possess the following:
- Meaningful experience in communications, with experience in a professional services firm a plus;
- Deep understanding of financial markets;
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
- Proven experience in developing and executing successful global communications strategies;
- Strong media relations skills and an extensive network of industry contacts;
- Experience with crisis communications and reputation management;
- Proficiency in digital communications and social media platforms;
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to leverage data to inform decision-making;
- Experience of scaling a team and an entrepreneurial mindset;
- Bachelor’s degree
Expected annualized base salary of $175,000 to $225,000.
This range represents the low and high ends of the expected annualized base salary for this position. The specific base salary received by any employee will be informed by a number of factors, including but not limited to, role level and scope, location, candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills and experience.
Base salary is one component of PJT Partners’ compensation structure. In addition to base salary, PJT Partners’ compensation structure may include additional rewards, incentives and benefits, including but not limited to, a discretionary bonus component.
