Insight Investment are seeking an RFP Specialist to join the Distribution team in New York.
The initial focus of the role is to produce high-quality requests for proposal (RFPs), requests for information (RFIs) and due diligence questionnaires (DDQs), as well as consultant database entries for prospective clients and consultants.
The position also supports the members of the RFP team through a deep technical understanding of Insight’s products and solutions and writes and develops new content with the specialist teams for use in RFPs.
The successful individual will join a dynamic and growing investment management firm and be part of a collaborative culture with a team player approach. It will provide broad exposure to the investment management industry, a diverse and multi-faceted business development team, and the opportunity, with proven success, for career progression into a broader marketing role and/or broader business development or various client focused roles.
The ideal candidate has relevant experience with RFP writing, marketing, or other client-related experience within an investment management firm.
Role Responsibilities:
- Produce high-quality RFPs, RFIs, DDQs and consultant requests accurately and on a timely basis, acting as an accountable executive and project manager.
- Effective management of established RFP process from inception through to delivery.
- Use and support the maintenance of content on the RFP content database (Rocketdocs) with all new or improved content.
- Take responsibility and ownership for individual product (e.g., Core+ fixed income, insurance solutions, systematic fixed income, LDI) and business areas (e.g., investment risk), including maintaining content.
- Acting as the RFP Team subject matter expert (SME) for assigned areas of specialisation and/or the development of capability specific content on strategic themes e.g. details of our approach to specific investment strategies/capabilities.
- Support RFP Team peers and broader Marketing Team initiatives and projects where appropriate.
- Responsibility for ensuring accuracy and integrity of information presented on consultant databases, including working with consultant relations and business development teams to ensure appropriate products and content are consistently and accurately represented in line with strategic priorities.
- Working with and supporting the Marketing Data Team, including awareness, and understanding of AUM, performance, and characteristic data sets.
- Establish excellent working relationships with all internal clients, including consultant relationship managers, client directors, business development and portfolio managers to obtain information.
- Keep abreast of regulatory changes as well as within the company, product and the industry, ensuring changes are reflected in the RFPs and databases.
Experience Required:
- Ideal candidate will possess relevant level of investment knowledge across a broad range of fixed income investment strategies.
- Familiarity with investment management operations and back-office systems.
- Comfortable navigating Excel to source and manipulate data to populate spreadsheets, databases, and portals.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Strong communication and organisational skills and the ability to confidently interact with colleagues.
- Editing and writing skills that enable the individual to represent the capabilities of Insight to clients.
- Experience in contributing to the acquisition of winning new business in a range of markets.
- Familiarity with RFP content management systems, preferably Rocketdocs.

Under New York City pay transparency law we are required to indicate the base salary range for this role of USD 120,000 to 140,000. Any offer of employment will be made based upon the specific skills and experience of the selected candidate and the base salary offered could be higher or lower than indicated.
