Join us as a Liquidity Financing/ Prime Trading AVP at Barclays on the US Securities Lending Desk, focused on ETFs, where you’ll play a crucial role and be primarily responsible for providing liquidity in helping to facilitate hedge fund clients and internal desk short positions. You will interact daily and manage relationships with lenders such as custodian banks, agent lenders, retail brokers, broker/ dealers and other market participants as you work to position the book accordingly, while actively looking to manage risk appropriately. The role will require understanding of the equity markets and various hedge fund strategies in order to manage financing inventory and facilitate client short strategies.

To be successful in this role you should have a prior experience in trading, prior experience in securities finance, working knowledge of operations and settlements functions and its interaction with the front office
to help streamline business processes and ability to juggle multiple priorities while delivering under pressure. Along with it, good in interacting with colleagues and clients as well as prior experience with Microsoft Office products such as Excel and PowerPoint are also required.
Additional relevant experience in working with internal partners including Financing Sales, Origination Sales, Equities Sales & Trading, Client Service and Capital Introductions in order to structure and facilitate client needs. In addition, series 7, 63, 57 are also highly preferred.
Salary / Rate Minimum: 125,000
Salary / Rate Maximum: 175,000

Purpose of the role
To execute trades and manage risk within a defined portfolio of financial instruments and staying informed about market trends and developments to make informed trading decisions.
Accountabilities
- Execution of buy and sell orders or pricing of liquidity in various financial instruments while adhering to the bank's trading strategies and risk parameters.
- Monitoring and analysis of global financial markets, economic indicators, news, and geopolitical events to identify trading opportunities and assess market risks.
- Management and monitoring of the risk associated with the trading portfolio and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal risk management guidelines.
- Collaboration with research analysts and other teams to gather insights and information for trading decisions.
