The Senior Director, Data Governance Lead will be responsible for designing and implementing a robust data governance operating model including of data quality management, metadata management and Data Issue Management leveraging Data Stewards across the firm. Additionally, this role will be leading a team of business data analysts to ensure accurate and effective sourcing of key data into our data platform. This role will lead a cross-functional team of data governance professionals and work closely with senior members of Finance, Technology and Business to ensure that our enterprise-critical data is strategically positioned and governed effectively and leveraged to drive strategic cost optimization and revenue growth.
We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means you’ll be assigned to a Broadridge office and given the flexibility to work from home.
Responsibility
Strategy:
Develop a strategic vision of data governance.
Implement robust Data Quality and Issue management function to ensure high quality data.
Leverage Collibra to be scalable and to support a federated Data Governance operating model.
Drive discipline across organization through thought-leadership, Data governance expertise and executive communication.
Collaborate closely with business leaders to understand their drivers and effectively apply Data governance.
Be an active participant and leader in the Data Industry on behalf of Broadridge
Process Standardization:
Embed best practices, guidelines and procedures to ensure consistent data governance
Establish data roles and responsibilities which can be effectively implemented across Broadridge.
Collaborate with business stakeholder to ensure best-in-class data governance principles are adhered to.
Preferred Background & Skills
Technical/Functional:
Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing data governance
Consistent record of high-performance improving the quality of critical data.
Excellent data management and data governance experience.
Strong strategic thinking, problem solving ability and negotiation skills to drive meaningful outcomes.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with extensive experience preparing and delivering executive-level presentations on complex topics.
Excellent leadership skills with a proven track record of collaborating with diverse executive-level stakeholders across Finance, Business, Product, and Technology teams to accomplish goals with strict deadlines.
Leadership:
Proactive mindset and a relentless passion to win
Effective and inspiring team leadership skills with proven ability to hire and train top talent and inspire through fostering their professional development, coaching and recognition.
Highly collaborative individual who can influence multiple internal partners to drive results in a matrixed environment.
Global experience: managing teams and cultural perspective
Ability to balance attention to detail and accuracy with tight deadlines on critically meaningful work.
Experience:
7-10 years of applicable leadership, data management and data governance experience
Master and reference data management experience a plus
Transformation/program management experience
Salary range $150,000.00 - $175,000.00 Bonus Eligible.
