The Marketing team at BlackRock is a dynamic, global function that plays a critical role in helping drive many of the firm’s most urgent cross-functional initiatives. Together with our partners (both internal and external), we create the conditions that maximize business outcomes for the firm.
We specialize in a diverse range of functions to provide robust campaigns, advertising, communications, training, investment & educational material, and events, all supported by global centers of excellence spanning content strategy, research & analytics, and digital platforms & experiences.
Generating alpha is core to the foundation and heart of BlackRock. Alpha Marketing leads marketing for BlackRock’s alpha-generating platforms across active EQ, active FI, multi-asset strategies and private markets. Our mission is to help BlackRock’s partners and clients to achieve the alpha so critical to their investment needs and objectives. We are responsible for building BlackRock’s active and alternatives brands and marketing our full range of investment vehicles across client segments globally.
Role and impact
The Alpha Marketing team is seeking a world class marketer for our private debt business. The core focus will be to raise awareness of our platform; establish and develop our spokespeople; drive content generation and distribution across mediums (video, audio, written) and platforms (web, social media, events, etc.); and supercharge our platform narrative and integrated marketing campaigns.
The successful candidate will work in close partnership with our debt and alternatives marketing leadership as well as our investors and product strategists. As a member of Alpha Marketing, they will help foster a culture of inclusion and collaboration, where diverse perspectives are valued and celebrated.

- Execute an integrated marketing strategy and platform narrative for our debt business
- Enable and inspire distribution partners across BlackRock
- Partner with investors, researchers and product strategists to deliver extraordinary insights and client experiences
You have…
- Desire to win hearts and minds in helping clients pursue outperformance in private markets
- 3+ years’ experience in investment marketing, product strategy or similar
- Expertise in multiple scaled marketing mediums (web, social, etc.)
- Strong understanding of markets and investment products (credit/debt or fixed income background preferred but not required)
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to organize and influence stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $115,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model
BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
