Salary Range:
$140,000 USD - $160,000 USD
Specific compensation will be based on candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, commercial considerations, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Job Description:
Role Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for working with existing OCIO clients, developing strategic advice through asset allocation studies, managing, and enhancing key client relationships, including the promotion of investment products, strategies, and solutions.
In addition, you will collaborate with other client facing team members and will act as a back-up to other senior members of the Institutional team to create an exceptional client experience. You will utilize a deep understanding of U.S. institutional retirement and non-profit markets, along with a deep knowledge of portfolio management and liability driven investing to develop and deliver strategic advice to institutional investors.
You will perform and assist others in the preparation of asset-liability modeling for pension plans and spending studies for endowment and foundations.
Responsibilities:
• Play a role with institutional clients to develop investment goals and objectives, determine asset allocation strategies, and implement multi-asset investment programs targeting specific outcomes.
• Effectively build and strengthen client relationships to retain and expand AUM.
• Lead periodic investment reviews, framing investment results in the context of overall market and economic conditions.
• Execute a proactive service model for a designated set of clients in collaboration with other members of the client team (e.g., investment analyst, administrative lead, strategist) and teams at Russell Investments (e.g., product/solutions, investment division, etc.).
• Serve as a senior member of the client service team, mentoring, developing, and providing oversight to the work of supporting team members and in thinking about the entirety of our U.S. client base.
• Partner with the sales team in closing new business with existing and prospective clients.
• Travel as needed to work with clients (30%).
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required; CFA strongly preferred.
• FINRA Series 7 and 63 (will consider ability to obtain in 90 days). 7 years of experience with a proven success record of dealing with institutional investors - experience with both retirement plans and various not-for-profits highly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience of providing advice on investment policy, strategic asset allocation, liability driven investing, capital market forecasting and portfolio implementation.
• In-depth investment industry knowledge, including capital market theory and investment strategies that relate to the implementation of the Russell investment philosophy.
• Strong relationship management skills.
• Ability to work self-directed and be a contributing team member. Outstanding communication, presentation and consensus building skills required, in addition to proven team leadership and project management experience.
• Strong business judgment and resource management.
