Compensation Range
Hourly: $22.60 - $26.70 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

About This Job
The main purpose of this job is to establish New Assets on the system within security guidelines established by Commerce Trust including both the Equity, Fixed Income Investment, and Special Asset Advisors/Portfolio Managers.
Essential Functions
- Establish New Assets on the system within security guidelines established by Commerce Trust including both the Equity, Fixed Income Investment, and Special Asset Advisors/Portfolio Managers
- Demonstrate subject matter expert (SME) level knowledge of traded and non-traded security types, alternative assets (Real Estate, Special Assets, Closely Held), and complex asset types such as CLO’s and the various set-up requirements (up to 40) for all asset types
- Complete set-up requirements, including the assignment of asset reporting and processing types, as well as market capitalization and investment style, which drives statement and client presentation reporting
- Ensure that Set-Up is performed accurately to avoid critically impacting downstream processes and inaccurate Client Reporting that may result in reputational loss with outside clients and advisors
- Liability related impact such as capital calls on alternative assets
- Complete asset pricing on traded and non-traded assets covering daily, weekly, and monthly requirements. This includes quality review functions to ensure Asset Market Value correctly reflected on High-Net-Worth Trust Client Reporting.
- Perform complex pricing calculations on Alternative Asset Types and Collateral Pricing requirements Complete all Asset Compliance Requirements such as Regulatory ASC820 Reporting, Stale Pricing Requirements, Quarterly IRA Pricing Review
- Research and make informed decisions related to Worthless Securities
- Monitor various pricing and asset set-up reports to ensure accuracy and reasonability of data
- Conduct quality reviews, including asset rate and maturity date revies, (called bond updates), and complete asset review requests from administrators
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and process efficiencies including for advanced asset types such as alternative assets
- Perform special project related work as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
- Strong knowledge of Traded/Non-Traded Security Types and the impact various set-up functions have on other aspects of security processing
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with ability to solve complex issues and make decisions

- Ability to think with a growth mindset and recommend ways to streamline processes for efficiency
- Ability to work independently, prioritize and perform varied assignments with frequent distractions

- Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
Education & Experience
- Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- 3+ years of Financial Services Industry related experience with securities knowledge required

At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $22.60 to $26.70 per hour.
