Purpose:
The Director, US Commercialization, is accountable for ideation, planning, defining and executing the Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy and tactical plans for the P&L growth of the entire US product portfolio. This role partners across functions and products to deliver end-to-end commercialization management, including evaluating commercial potential, supporting the sales partners and other stakeholder teams in developing and executing on the end-to-end commercialization plans. Acts a subject matter expert with a well-rounded business skill set to plan and direct commercialization initiatives across different GTB product categories over the next several years and maintain a keen insight to the USMCA corridor and the global transaction banking market, at large.
Accountabilities:
- Leads and drives a customer-first culture to be able to bring in new clients to the Bank, deepen existing client relationships and improve client experience
- Deliver and execute US GTM strategy, identifying insights and market benchmarking across products and geographies:
- Generate in-depth GTM insights by understanding customer needs - using customer validation techniques, persona creation, analyzing customer behavior and market trends
- Analyzing the existing portfolio to determine typical customer behavior, product mix, competitive data, segment/industry trends etc. to identify and execute on GTM opportunities
- Deploy learning strategies to gain more information about the market and identify corresponding opportunities, such as: market segmentation, market development, market refinement etc
- Conceptualize, develop, leads and implement the end-to-end commercialization strategies for all new and existing US-domiciled products and related solutions:
- Identify short/medium/long-term opportunities and define strategic roadmaps
- Performance forecasting
- Establishing, executing and supporting (where needed) on tactical plans
- Identifying opportunities and driving initiatives to establish, maintain and/or enhance our competitive position in the US and with the global market
- Accountable for P&L growth and growth across key KPIs, including:
- deposit volumes, transactions, product penetration, customer primacy, NIR, NII, profitability etc.
- Responsible for the US business customer portfolio, P&L, forecasting and driving growth across business KPIs (including but not limited to: business deposit volumes, transactions, product penetration, etc.)
- Responsible for monitoring and tracking KPI performance for business line and GTB-level reviews
- Supports the MD, US GTB Product Strategy and Business Management, and the Product Owner(s), Sales teams, partner teams and the leadership team as a point person on all commercialization & GTM initiatives by:
- Leading (and supporting, where required) all commercialization and GTM initiatives targeted towards new and existing clients - for all in-flight and future initiatives
- Delivering on assigned and/or ad hoc mandates, key strategic initiatives and priorities
- Contributing to the overall development of the strategic direction of the business
- Collaborating with the Product Owners, Product Managers, Cross-team partners, Sales, Sales Effectiveness, Pricing and other support functions to articulate the customer impacts and business/stakeholder value
- Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviors; communicating vison/values/business strategy; and, managing succession and development planning for the team.
- Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

- Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
