The Role:
Global Private Wealth Marketing is responsible for driving awareness of the Blue Owl brand and product offerings with financial advisors and high-net worth clients, generating leads for sales to deepen market share and grow adoption of Blue Owl strategies, and supporting fundraising initiatives globally. We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Head of RIA (Registered Investment Advisor) Channel Marketing to lead our efforts in driving business initiatives, enhancing activation strategies, and scaling our presence within the RIA channel. This senior wealth marketing leadership role will report directly to the Global Head of Wealth Marketing and be responsible for building innovative marketing strategies, strengthening engagement, and delivering measurable outcomes that align with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Marketing Leadership
Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy tailored to the unique needs of the RIA channel.
Identify opportunities to deepen advisor engagement and accelerate activation efforts through personalized and innovative marketing tactics and campaigns.
Channel Activation and Growth
Build and implement strategies that drive activation, retention, and growth within the RIA segment, mapped to distribution strategy
Collaborate with sales, key accounts and wealth marketing teams to identify and capitalize on key growth opportunities.
Program & Messaging Development
Design marketing programs, tools, and resources to empower RIAs to better serve their clients and enhance their businesses with alternatives.
Leverage data insights to refine campaigns and ensure effectiveness in addressing RIA-specific challenges and opportunities.
Responsible for helping craft key marketing messaging to be delivered across campaigns targeting RIAs
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Alignment
Partner with internal teams (e.g., sales, product, and analytics) to align marketing strategies with business goals.
Partner with wealth marketing engine leads (growth/campaigns, education & engagement, product marketing) to build and execute RIA campaigns
Serve as a bridge between marketing and the field, ensuring seamless execution of strategies.
Content and Thought Leadership
Partner to drive the creation of compelling, industry-relevant content that resonates with RIA audiences and reinforces the brand’s value proposition.
Represent the organization at key industry events, webinars, and conferences to build brand presence.
Metrics and Accountability
Establish KPIs to measure the success of marketing initiatives within the RIA channel.
Use data analytics and insights to continuously refine strategies and improve ROI.
Partner on quarterly and campaign reporting development with Private Wealth marketing
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of marketing experience (preferably alternative/asset management or wealth management), with at least 5 years focused on the RIA channel or financial services industry.
Proven track record of leading and executing successful channel marketing strategies.
Deep understanding of the RIA ecosystem, including key trends, challenges, and opportunities.
Expertise in developing multi-channel marketing campaigns with measurable outcomes.
Strong leadership and project management skills, with a collaborative mindset.
Self-starter, comfortable in fast-paced environment and driving strategy and process with whitespace
Extremely effective oral and written communicator
Proficiency in marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and data analytics platforms.
Sales oriented and ROI driven marketing approach to building marketing strategy.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), HubSpot, Salesforce, Monday.com
It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based position will be $225,000 to $250,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
