The Role:
Blue Owl is seeking an Associate to join its Private Wealth Global Portfolio Solutions & Strategy team (GPSS), responsible for supporting our credit products. GPSS is responsible for launching and supporting Blue Owl’s various commercial products in the wealth channel across Real Estate, Credit, and GP Strategic Capital.
This individual will help support the Portfolio Strategy team within GPSS, responsible for a broad range of fundraising and strategic initiatives across Blue Owl’s Private Wealth platform. This will include a combination of supporting external fundraising efforts and servicing our existing investors through ongoing outreach, inbound inquiry response, product performance updates, as well as product messaging and management. The role will continuously aim to strengthen Blue Owl’s strategic messages by leading peer analysis and competitive intelligence efforts across private markets. The role will also be responsible for various strategic initiatives with senior management and the investment teams to support and grow Blue Owl’s private wealth business.

A successful GPSS Portfolio Strategy Associate will deliver a strong work product with attention to detail, a collaborative mindset, and strong time management skills to handle multiple workstreams simultaneously. Responsibilities:
- Assist with fundraising efforts and ongoing client service through facilitating and enabling the external sales team
- Develop a strong fundamental understanding of our products across credit to facilitate product specific marking narratives with a keen eye to market positioning, recent events, and competitors
- Partner with our marketing team to develop marketing materials such as pitchbooks, conference materials, data-centric portfolio analysis, and educational materials for prospective and existing investors
- Assist with preparing communication materials, including monthly / quarterly updates, internal and external talking points, fund specific presentations, and a variety of other bespoke presentations, materials, and ad-hoc analysis
- Become familiar with and able to communicate details around fund products and strategies including portfolio and investment level information
- Assist with strategic initiatives to support and grow Blue Owl’s private wealth business, liaising with corporate development, investor relations, and investment teams on various ad-hoc projects
- Prepare ad hoc competitive, market and other analyses that underscore the firm's value proposition to current and prospective investors
- Lead analysis and ongoing tracking of peers performance and portfolio metrics
Qualifications:
- 2 - 5 years of experience preferably in alternatives or wealth management (financial services experience strongly preferred)
- FINRA Series 7 and 63 license required, or ability to obtain upon hire.
- Prior experience in credit required
- Strong communication and project management capabilities
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills, with the ability to grasp and distill complex concepts
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, data oriented with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Ability to work in a fast pace, growing environment while staying focused and organized
- Driven and a self-starter with the ability to execute assigned initiatives but also go above and beyond
- Intellectually curious and highly collaborative
- Extremely professional, polished individual, with the ability to interact with senior leaders and important investors/external stakeholders on a regular basis
- Bachelor’s degree required
It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based position will be $100,000 to $125,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
