The Role:
The Private Wealth Strategy Senior Lead for Blue Owl’s Private Wealth division will be a pivotal force in defining and driving the strategic direction of our Private Wealth division. This leader will spearhead initiatives to significantly enhance Blue Owl’s market presence through innovative partnerships, cutting-edge product solutions, and strategic geographic and channel expansions. By leveraging deep market insights, advanced data analytics, and competitive intelligence, this leader will ensure Blue Owl remains at the forefront of industry trends and client expectations.
Responsibilities:
Identify and secure high-impact strategic partnerships to expand Blue Owl’s capabilities, enhance its strategic positioning, and penetrate new market segments.
Develop creative strategies to integrate Blue Owl’s products and capabilities with partners, and, where relevant, collaborate on co-developing innovative investment solutions for wealth management advisors and clients.
Expand Blue Owl’s reach across diverse client segments and geographical regions, while proactively assessing risks, analyzing competitor activities, and identifying opportunities in new markets.
Design business plan (short and longer term) to assess opportunities where private wealth can expand across regions, channels, and product structures
Ensure Blue Owl’s internal capabilities—such as distribution channels, product development, and operational processes—are developed in line with industry best practices and evolving market demand.
Collaborate closely with Private Wealth leadership to share and implement industry best practices, ensuring that the organization’s internal capabilities remain competitive, efficient, and market leading.
Qualifications:
10+ years in consulting or strategy roles within wealth management, asset management, or private markets.
Proven ability to strategically convert high-value opportunities into tangible business outcomes. Skilled in influencing and negotiating with senior stakeholders, with a demonstrated track record of successfully closing complex deals that foster long-term partnerships and drive revenue growth.
Expertise of alternative investment strategies, with experience collaborating with product teams to develop new product solutions. A strong knowledge and network within the alternative investments or asset management space is also essential.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence senior stakeholders, and drive large-scale strategic initiatives to completion. Ability to tackle complex problems with an entrepreneurial and creative mindset.
Exceptional ability to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions that exceed expectations for private wealth clients.
Possesses a well-established network of senior leaders in private wealth, asset management, and related sectors, enabling quick access to opportunities and accelerating market penetration. Demonstrated excellence in delivering compelling presentations to diverse audiences, including senior executives and key stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based position will be $225,000 to $250,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
