Xception Advisory Group (XAG) was founded in 2014 to offer a range of services tailored for successful entrepreneurs looking for better coordination of their business, estate, financial and tax planning. Today, XAG’s multi-family office practice provides ultra-high-net-worth families ($40 MM+ average net worth) with comprehensive strategies, solutions, and services.
Summary Of Position
A Financial Planner (FP) must demonstrate a broad base of knowledge across client related services including investments, insurance, taxation, and estate planning. The FP works with a team that supports and manages assigned client relationships. A successful FP is comfortable working with clients with an ability to communicate complex concepts in clear and simple terms. Organization skills and attention to detail are critical given the nature of planning, documentation, and execution processes. A FP thinks creatively, strategically, and independently to identify solutions for each client’s situation. You will work under the direction of the firm principal to ensure that a consistent message and excellent level of care are provided to our valued clients in a team-oriented fashion.
Financial Planning Process
- Gather and analyze all necessary financial plan client data, independently and with team
- Develop and present to clients financial plans, strategic guidance, investment advice, insurance recommendations, etc. following XAG planning processes and methodologies
- Review certain client insurance coverage for business continuity, estate liquidity, and personal family needs, and present recommendations to assigned client base
- Collaborate with each client’s outside advisory team (e.g., CPA, attorney, etc.) to coordinate holistic advice and service
Client Services
- Participate in, and eventually lead, client meetings including client strategy reviews, financial planning presentations, insurance and investment recommendations
- Be the primary contact for assigned client relationships
- Help maintain client’s financial planning dashboard (eMoney) and provide appropriate updates regarding changes to client situations, goals and needs
- Provide ongoing client support including regular performance reporting and periodic plan updates
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree required
- CFP® designation preferred
- Series 7 and 66 license and applicable state licenses
- Minimum 5 years financial planning experience required
- Experience using eMoney financial planning software
- Experience of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong math and analytical skills
- Oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity
- Energetic, eager to learn, willing to work together
