Position Overview
The Senior Regional Consultant’s primary responsibilities are drive fundraising results across Apollo’s perpetual product suite, with a focus on the Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) and Independent Broker Dealer (IBD) client segment. The Senior Regional Consultant will cover $500mm -$10B+ RIA and IBD clients, including RIA OSJs and local offices of National RIAs. This individual will have a deep, consistent track record of driving commercial outcomes, paired with key relationships across Eastern territory.
The Regional Consultant will champion the continual growth of the firm’s market share by supporting all aspects of the sales cycle from prospecting, to closing business to asset retention. This includes partnering with the investment organization to communicate and provide detailed technical expertise on investment strategies and how such strategies can be implemented within client firm platforms and models. The Regional Consultant works closely with key distributors, platform specialists, research and due diligence personnel at target firms.
Specific requirements include:
Drive fundraising across Apollo’s perpetual product suite, focused on a specific territory of advisors/firms under their coverage. This role will focus on the Eastern territory.
Collaborate closely with internal partners across the firm to cultivate a deep understanding of the investment approach and results in order to represent all facets of the firm’s products internally and externally.
Position Apollo’s strategies in a highly commercial and impactful manner with financial advisors around the country.
Develop and deliver investment, market, and business communications to existing and prospective clients in one-on-one, small group, and large audience presentations.
Provides updates on overall financial markets performance, economic trends, and the overall investment outlook as articulated by Apollo.
Act as a spokesperson for the investment team with the ability to present a deep understanding of the investment process, market outlook, and strong advocate for the services.
Work closely with other departments, including Marketing, Product Management, CPMs, etc to ensure impactful marketing materials are being created to reach prospects/clients.
Penetrates specific target opportunities within the region to capitalize on strength of Apollo’s offerings and to implement sales campaigns.
Excel at specific fund positioning and messaging to correlate with research and marketing campaigns of Apollo’s focus firms.
Manage and train team (direct and indirect) to become self-sufficient in positioning and messaging within the context of their typical customer forms of interaction (e.g., one-on-one, short phone call, etc.).
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 8 years working in financial services with prior experience serving in a private wealth distribution role.
Significant relationships with high value advisors in the RIA and IBD channels in given territory, with a proven track record of raising assets.
Strong investment acumen; preferred experience representing alternatives and/or public fixed income strategies.
Demonstrated ability and commitment to a team focused approach to achieving individual, group, and business goals.
Sales and relationship-building acumen – ability to influence advisor decisions at point of sale.
Execute from sales process and business plan.

Deep knowledge of economics and capital markets, including global macro and marketing topics.
Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to convey information to internal and external customers in a clear, focused, and concise manner. Demonstrated ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of staff and management.
Demonstrated experience maintaining a calm and professional demeanor when handling demanding situations, such as prioritizing multiple tasks with critical target dates, dealing with demanding customers and participating in discussions with limited preparation time.
Must be able to cite examples from work experience on identifying complex problems, quantifying the problem, and providing resolutions to solve.
Cites examples of independent decision-making and initiative.
Demonstrated strong results orientation. Must cite examples of situations where a strong results orientation was demonstrated.
Proven ability and willingness to travel extensively.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, AND SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a finance-related field.
Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications.
Working knowledge of database and web-based applications.
FINRA Series 7 and 66 Licenses required (24 may be required based on role)
Preference for investment industry designations (e.g., CFA, CIMA, CFP, CAIA).

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
