Your Team
This role is within the
Private Credit technology team, which is part of the Investments Technology organization. The Private Credit team works closely with, and supports, the bank loans, CLO and distressed credit/direct lending investment teams and their associated compliance and operations teams.
Your Role
You will lead a global team of software engineers and business analysts that build, maintain and support applications for the private credit investment teams. The technology landscape consists of vendor provided applications and custom home-grown enhancements and additions that integrate with these applications.
There is a large firm-wide multi-year technology transformation initiative underway to simplify our systems and architecture. You will play a leading role in ensuring the success of that initiative for the systems and applications under your purview. You will also provide the vision for future enhancements and process improvements.
You Will Be Responsible For:
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead and manage a team of technology professionals, including developers, business analysts, and technical scrum masters/project managers. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, providing mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
- Strategic Alignment and Communication: Ensure that all initiatives across the portfolio, including projects, production support, enhancements, and team management, are aligned with broader business objectives. Maintain clear and consistent communication with teams, business partners, and senior leaders to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the portfolio lifecycle.
- Solution Design and Delivery: Utilize extensive experience in designing and delivering technology solutions within a global organization. Oversee the end-to-end delivery of IT programs, projects, and support initiatives, collaborating with business partners across multiple time zones to ensure successful outcomes.
- Architectural Oversight: Work closely with architects to define, design, and implement a robust long-term architecture for the finance systems portfolio. Ensure that the architecture meets both current and future business needs, supporting scalability, flexibility, and sustainability.
- Vendor and Partner Collaboration: Collaborate with external product vendors and systems integrators to deliver comprehensive solutions. Manage relationships and ensure that all parties are aligned with portfolio goals and timelines.
The Experience You Bring:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in software development, and at least 5+ years leading technology teams. Global oversight experience is strongly desired.
- Domain Knowledge: Previous experience in the private credit space (bank loans, collateralized loan obligations, distressed credit, etc.).
- Systems Knowledge: Experience with Allvue Everest and Wall Street Office or comparable systems used in private credit/debt investments.
- Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading technology teams, including setting strategic direction, managing team performance, and fostering a collaborative culture .
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field along with relevant work experience is required.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Global and Multicultural Awareness: Experience working in a global, multicultural environment, with an understanding of the challenges and opportunities this presents.
