A day in the life
The successful candidate will work in a dynamic finance department to support cash management activities at Prologis. The candidate will primarily be responsible running the daily Americas cash management activities including payments and positioning, Letters of Credit processing, Data Integration and Dashboarding conducted by the Corporate Treasury department for Prologis and its Funds/JV’s under management. This requires a high level of interaction with ERP systems, internal databases and TMS system.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitor overall Americas cash position and help Treasury VP, Directors, and Managers minimize cash balances, invest excess cash and plan line of credit usage
- Review, Improve and Maintain daily liquidity report and Treasury Dashboard for accuracy
- Review new Treasury Management Systems, FINTECH, AI/RPA, and existing systems dashboards and provide recommendations for future implementations/improvements
- Manage Americas cash desk internal customer support, monitor all aspects of its operation and take prompt action to resolve problems either by escalating them within the treasury team, or by working with other departments (e.g. IT, Accounting, AP, Tax)
- Interact and Manage Bank relationships at various levels (escalating if necessary) to request action and resolve issues
- Open and close bank accounts, maintenance of services, processing of payments, reviewing and rectifying account overdrafts if required.
- Analyze bank fee billings and identify opportunities for savings, AdHoc projects and assist on company initiatives, and identify process improvements within the Treasury function
- Will be the lead on Letters of Credit review, issuance, tracking and maintenance.
Building blocks for success
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or IT required. Masters degree in these fields also highly coveted.
- 3-5 years prior Treasury or Banking exposure and concepts required
- Experience with Treasury Management Systems (TMS) required; previous TMS system implementation experience and knowledge of other Treasury Fintech highly recommended
- Experience in opening bank accounts and Letters of Credit/Bank Guarantees at domestic and/or international corporate banks highly recommended
- Previous experience and/or working knowledge of banking practices and relationship building with bank personnel at several different levels highly recommended
- Experience using Peoplesoft or other ERP systems a plus
- Strong Excel & PowerPoint skills, Experience with Visio, Tableau, Microsoft PowerBI, Sigma, data management tools (SQL, Python) and databases is a plus
- Good general knowledge of finance and accounting terms and practices is a plus
- Strong written and oral communication skills, both internal and external to the organization recommended
- Willing and able to take on a leadership role in projects; sees initiatives through to conclusion recommended
Hiring Salary Range of: $115,000 - $157,000. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target) to be determined by the candidate’s location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
