Position Description:
This Co-op opportunity would be a member of our Investment Strategy team. The Investment Strategy team is responsible for the research and development of Glenmede’s overall investment strategy and asset allocation process via macro-economic and market research. In addition, the Investment Strategy team is responsible for the presentation and communication surrounding both allocation decisions and processes. 1. Track and report on domestic and international economic and financial market developments 2. Prepare Investment Strategy materials and other presentations for internal or external meetings 3. Prepare and distribute weekly Investment Strategy notes outlining important information and events regarding the financial markets 4. Perform specific research of existing investments and potential opportunities 5. Coordinate research efforts with other groups within Glenmede (i.e. Manager Research Group, Quantitative, Equities, and Fixed Income) 6. Regularly update performance analytics and other statistical information 7. Coordination, administration, and assistance of day-to-day operations of the investment strategy department 8. Serve as a resource to Glenmede colleagues regarding issues relations to investment strategy
Qualifications:
1. Economic or Finance major with coursework or similar Co-op/Internship experience 2. 3.40 minimum GPA 3. Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in business or related area 4. Interest in pursuing a CFA Charter 5. Experience with various asset classes or economic analysis a plus 6. Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary 7. Motivated, organized, accurate, and attentive to detail 8. A team orientation and strong interest in subject matter required 9. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel 10. Familiarity with PowerPoint is preferred 11. Familiarity with FactSet or Bloomberg is preferred 12. Experience with VBA/Visual Basic a plus The working hours for Glenmede employees are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. For this position, we are currently operating in a hybrid work environment requiring a minimum of 3 days in the office per week.
